Mary Marie Niemann “Baba” Marks, 78, of Kelly Lake, passed away peacefully from natural causes Aug. 7, 2025, in Green Bay.
She was born May 8, 1947, to William (Bill) P. Niemann and Blanche Heath “Peggy” Niemann in Hinsdale, Illinois, where she grew up and graduated from Hinsdale Township High School. Mary studied theater and graduated from Kansas University. She spent 42 years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a paralegal. Mary cherished her dogs and actively fought invasive plant species at Kelly Lake, her happy place.
She is survived by her beloved brother, William Lawrence “Larry” Niemann (Kristine), and his daughter, Tracy M. Niemann Kaddatz (David), and their daughters, Mia and Ashley.
Mary is also survived by cousins, Jennifer J. Niemann Doody (Mike), and her children Kyle, Chase and Brooke, Judith J. Niemann Black (Dana) and Martha Jane Holt Reisner (Jim), and their sons, Joseph and Charlie, nephews Robert S. Meier (Aida), Bradley D. Meier (Stephanie), and their daughters, Megan and Madison.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her dearest sister, Heath Niemann Meier (Herald).
