Tigerton, Lena boys notch big wins

Tigerton 79, Tomahawk 40

James Brady scored 33 points and led Tigerton to a 79-40 win over Tomahawk, while also improving to 3-0 on the season.

Sam Anheuser contributed 13 points, and Brody Miller added 11 in the win over the Hatchets.

Brady also led the Tigers with 15 rebounds. Anheuser paced the team with six assists, and Caleb Dahlstrom had six steals.

Tigerton had a 50-18 halftime lead and won the second half 29-22.

Lena 71, Stockbridge 46

A strong first half put Lena up 41-17 at halftime, and the Wildcats continued their dominance in the second half to beat Stockbridge 71-46.

Lucas Mongiat led the Wildcats with 19 points. Dash Comins scored 16, and P.J. Finger and Zander Thomson each connected on 12 points.

Appleton East 57, Pulaski 56

For most of the contest Appleton East and Pulaski were within just a few baskets of each other, but in the end, the Red Raiders ran out of time, losing 57-56 to the Patriots.

Pulaski held a 27-25 lead at halftime and led 45-40 at one point in the second half. The teams tied at 49-49, battled back and forth, and Appleton East pulled in front 57-54 and held the lead despite a 2-point basket by the Red Raiders.

Oconto Falls 72, Marinette 64

The Panthers’ 13-point halftime was cut by the Marines after the break, but Oconto Falls held own for the 72-64 win.

Senior Brady Bursa and junior J.J. Pytleski led Oconto Falls with 18 points each. Senior James Beaman scored 14.

Freshman Teagan Tate had seven rebounds, Pytleski had four blocks, Beaman recorded three steals, and senior Carson McDermid led with six assists.

Niagara 54, Gillett 29

Niagara was too much for Gillett, starting with a 32-15 first half and ending with a 54-29 victory.

Chase Rosenlund led the Tigers with nine points.

Other scores: Wittenberg-Birnamwood 49, Rhinelander 33.

Monday, Dec. 8

Marion 51, Wild Rose 40

Marion steadily built an 11-point lead in the first half and continued on to defeat Wild Rose 51-40.

The Mustangs led 25-14 at the half. Each team scored 26 points after the break.
