Red Raiders, Hawks win on soccer field

The Pulaski girls soccer team traveled to West De Pere for a Fox River Classic Conference matchup and returned home with a 1-0 victory.

Maggie Gumina’s unassisted goal was the only score.

Goalkeeper Tatum Wentland had four saves in the shutout win. The Red Raiders improved to 7-5-2 on the season and 4-1-1 in the FRCC.

Shawano tennis team tops Medford

Shawano 6, Medford 1

Two singles matches went to three sets, and a doubles match had a tiebreaker, but the Shawano tennis team came out on top in all those and more in a 6-1 nonconference home victory over Medford.

Tanner Thiel defeated Ethan Kollmansberger 7-5, 1-6, 10-2;, and Everett Grover beat Ethan Jones 6-4, 2-6, 10-8.

Bay Conference Tour Stop #3

Shawano golfers scored 183 and finished sixth out of seven teams at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London.

The Hawks were led by Collin Dieck’s 43. Joining him on the links were T.J. Smith with 45, Duane Gristeau-Blanche with 47 and Levi Anobong with 48.

Bonduel boys, girls win Lions Invite

Shawano’s boys and girls track teams finished last with 30 and 29 points, respectively, in West De Pere.

Three of the boys relay teams finished in third place.

Tiller wins at the plate, on the mound for Tigerton

Tigerton 10, Marion 4

Danika Tiller and Renata Nordwig each had two hits, and Tiller had two RBIs in Tigerton’s 10-4 win over Marion.

Tiller, Emily Rich, Lillian Welch and Jaelyn Brady each scored twice.

Tiller pitched all seven innings, giving up four runs on eight hits, walking three and striking out 10.

Panthers, Hawks win on baseball diamond

Tuesday, May 12

Oconto Falls 2, Luxemburg-Casco 1

Dom Triechl hit 1-for-3 with an RBI single that turned out to be the go-ahead score with two outs in the bottom of the sixth as Oconto Falls beat Luxemburg-Casco 2-1.

Landon Delfosse hit 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Pulaski soccer team beats Notre Dame

Pulaski 3, Notre Dame 1

Ruth Krause scored two goals; Leah Kapla assisted on one, and Leah Grygiel assisted on the other as Pulaski beat Notre Dame 3-1.

Sydney Kunstman scored unassisted in between Krause’s goals.

Goalkeeper Tatum Wentland had three saves in the win, improving the Red Raiders’ conference record to 3-1-1 and 6-5-2 for the season.
