Roy H. Schaubel, age 70, of Lakewood, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024.
Roy was born on May 1, 1954, to the late Jack H. and Anna (Gwost) Schaubel. He was a graduate of Milwaukee Bay View High School, class of 1972. For most of his working life, he was employed with GE Medical Services in the Milwaukee area. It was there that he met his beloved life partner, Sandy Kreger.
At GE Medical, Roy was known for his knack for fixing million-dollar diagnostic machines. He drove sporty cars, enjoyed a well-made gin and tonic and traveled Europe and the Pacific, but Lakewood was his favorite place on earth. Upon his retirement from GE Medical, he and Sandy finally moved to Lakewood full time, as he had always dreamed they would.
Roy is survived by his siblings, Jack D. (Sandra), Karen, Jeffrey (significant other, Teri); sister-in-law, Penelope. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by Sandy; his brother, Alan; and his sister-in-law, Marianne.
A private, family memorial will be held in the future. Roy will be interred at Lakewood Forest Cemetery beside Sandy.
