Paul A. Heger Jr.

Paul A. Heger Jr., 90, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca. Paul Alfred Heger was born Nov. 2, 1929, in the Town of Fairbanks, Shawano County, to Paul and Ruby (Frailing) Heger Sr. He graduated from Tigerton High School in 1943. Paul was united in marriage on June 20, 1953, to Lorraine A. Bucher at Peace Lutheran Church in Split Rock. In his early years, Paul worked on the family farm in Tigerton.
Orville J. Emon
Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Orville J. Emon passed away Sept. 28, 2020, at the age of 82 in Appleton. Orv was born in Wausau on Aug. 6, 1938, to John and Leona (Geiger) Emon. He developed a love for basketball early in life, becoming a basketball jock in high school. As a young man, Orv often enjoyed being at the local fishing hole rather than class (this proved useful in his later years).
Irene V. Waubanascum
Irene Violetta Waubanascum, 77, of Keshena, died peacefully in her home Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, surrounded by her family. Irene was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Keshena and was the youngest child of Madeline “Patches” (Westcott) and Thomas “Buster” Whitney. Irene, her brother Thomas (deceased) and sister Dolores (deceased) spent their childhood in South Branch, and she graduated from St.
Roger E. Rosenow
Roger E. Rosenow, 82, of Gresham, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family. Roger was born on July 9, 1938, in Shawano, a son of the late Rueben and Esther (Schoenike) Rosenow. He earned his diploma from Shawano High School. On Aug. 24, 1957, Roger was united in marriage to Joan Bowman at Peace United Church of Christ in Clintonville. He worked at Noritage Inc.
James C. Bethurem
James C. “Jim” Bethurem, 79, Green Bay, formerly of Cecil, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020. He was born on Nov. 11, 1940, in Green Bay to Walter C. and Leona M. (LeGros) Bethurem. After graduating from Green Bay East High School in 1959, Jim joined the U.S. Air Force and began a 20-year career primarily serving in the PMEL field. He married Marcia Blanshan on Dec. 26, 1964, at First United Methodist Church in Green Bay.
Herman D. Peters
Herman Daniel “Flea” Peters, 57, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020. Herman was born Feb. 28, 1963, in Oconto Falls, to the late Orvis and Patricia Anne (Shivener) Peters. On Oct. 8, 1988, Herman was united in marriage to Carmella Waupoose at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit.
Deric A. Olson
Deric A. “Josh” Olson, 36, of Shawano, formerly of Middle Village, began his journey to the spirit world on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, in Shawano. Josh was born Oct. 24, 1983, in Madison, a son of Lia (Tucker) Olson and the late Christopher Wischmann. He attended tribal school and later Menominee Indian High School. Following high school, Josh enrolled at the College of Menominee Nation, where he studied computers and business.
