Lois M. Wetzel, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in Shawano. Lois was born in Birnamwood on June 22, 1934, to the late Byron and Emma (Anderson) Hawkins. The family owned the General Store in Birnamwood, and Lois worked as a pin setter at Chet and Emil’s. After graduating from Birnamwood High School with the class of 1952, Lois enrolled in college at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she earned a degree in teaching. On Aug.

Shirley Shore, 87, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her home. The daughter of the late Harry and Leona (Hanson) Otto was born Oct. 31, 1935, in the Town of How. Shirley quickly proved herself as an independent woman and hard worker, moving first to Milwaukee where she worked for Cutler-Hammer typing order forms, and then to Los Angeles, where she started working for the Hughes Aircraft Company.

LeRoy A. Rudie, 87, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Serenity Gardens Assisted Living in Gillett, where he most recently resided. He was born Feb. 6, 1936 to Anker and Adella (Rush) Rudie in Gillett, Wisconsin where he spent his early life. LeRoy joined the U.S. Air Force and spent a 20-year career serving his country.
Linda A. Wanish
Linda A. Wanish, 73, of Crooked Lake, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 with family by her side. Linda was born Aug. 21, 1949 to the late Alvin and Agnes (Bosacki) Schleis. She graduated from Denmark High School. On Oct. 10, 1969, Linda married Dennis Wanish. Together, they lovingly raised two children, Rick and Paula. While living in Denmark and Maribel, Linda worked in advertising and as a secretary at Prange’s.
