Lee, Linda, Bethany and Mary Kreklow like to volunteer and this year got involved in a project started by 10-year-old Mary — making quilts and blankets for Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. The family lives in Tigerton, where Lee has his own business. Linda is a kindergarten teacher at Tigerton Elementary School. They have been married 23 years.

Missing elderly man found deceased
A 90-year-old Antigo man reported missing Thursday night was found deceased on a wooded trail Friday morning after an extensive search, according to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities have not yet released the man’s name. The Sheriff’s Department was notified about 10 p.m.
Sturgeon run will heat up along with temperatures
Sturgeon could be spawning by the Shawano dam on the Wolf River by the end of the weekend — if water temperatures continue to rise. Hawks split with Marinette The Shawano Community High School softball team split a doubleheader with Bay Conference foe Marinette on the road Friday. The Hawks rallied from being down 4-0 to win the first game 14-10 in eight innings. Sophomore pitcher Sydney Schreiber earned her first varsity win, and freshman Saige Henning hit a home run. Student smoker blamed for Oconto High fire
A cigarette is believed to have caused the April 16 fire at Oconto High School, and the 16-year-old student authorities believe left class early to smoke it has been referred to juvenile authorities, according to a news release from Oconto Police Chief Dan Ault.
