Debra L. Court

Debra L. Court, 73, passed away after a brief illness on April 30, 2025. She was born July 8, 1951, to the late Vern and Violet (Buss) Hinz in Shawano. Debby graduated from Bonduel High School in 1969, then went to Concordia University and graduated in 1973 with a teaching degree. She loved teaching and taught throughout her life, from piano lessons to English.

Conditional release plan developing for Renel
A pre-disposition investigation has been completed for Aaron Renel, the man accused in a 2022 standoff with law enforcement involving a military vehicle. Defense attorney Eric Pangburn said he has shared the document with Renel and discussed it.

Shawano-Menominee Circuit Court
• Kathryn L. Thunder, 44, Shawano, pleaded no contest May 1 to two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Several felony counts were dismissed but read into the record in a plea agreement. Judge William Kussel Jr. levied fines and forfeitures totaling $7,254.84. • Ethan R.
