May 6 Shawano 5, Fox Valley Lutheran 2 The Hawks won their first contest of the season, a 5-2 win over Fox Valley Lutheran. Shawano is now 1-9 overall. May 8 Shawano 5, Green Bay West 2 The winning streak for Shawano continues as the Hawks defeated Green Bay West 5-2. Shawano is now 2-9 overall. Sheboygan North 7, Pulaski 0 Pulaski’s tennis team ran into a Sheboygan North buzzsaw, losing 7-0. All matches were lost in two sets except for the No. 3 singles contest.
Red Raiders soccer team wins
May 8 Pulaski 2, Ashwaubenon 0 Pulaski’s soccer team improved to 3-1 in the Fox River Classic Conference ant 10-3 overall with a 2-0 shutout win over Ashwaubenon.

Seegmiller, Spice pace teams at Shamrock Heights
May 7 Manawa Invitational Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s George Seegmiller and Lena’s Mason Spice each carded an 85 for the third-best score at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in Freedom. “I was most pleased by George being able to bounce back from arguably his worst round in a number of years,” Chargers coach Chris Bartletti said. Shawano soccer team collects another tie
May 6 Shawano 2, Menasha 2 For the second time this season, Shawano’s girls soccer team saw a game end in a tie, this time a 2-2 score at home against Menasha. The Hawks are now 0-4-1 in the Bay Conference and 2-7-2 overall. Pulaski 2, De Pere 1 Estella Vieaux and Anya Hasser each scored a goal in Pulaski’s 2-1 win over De Pere. The Red Raiders improved to 2-1 in the Fox River Classic Conference and 9-3 overall.
Pulaski golfers place fifth
May 9 Fox River Classic Conference Mini-Meet #3 Pulaski golfers placed fifth among 10 teams at the Brown County Golf Course. The Red Raiders carded a 170. Leading the way was Dixon Holewinski with 38, tied for the second-best score on the course. Bradin Schultz was right behind him with 39, with Brady Hayward right behind him with 40. Ethan Berger rounded out the scoring with 53. Christin Weinberger also carded a 57.
Five score for Pulaski in lacrosse loss
May 5 Oneida Nation 14, Pulaski 5 Pulaski spread the scoring around, but it wasn’t enough as Oneida Nation won the boys lacrosse game 14-5. Scoring for Pulaski were Brady Huss, Everett Just, Nikolas Sanders, Brody Hronek and Cody Delabrau. Goaltender Ben Schroeder collected 25 saves against 39 shots on goal. Pulaski is now 0-5 in the Bay Valley Conference. The win was the first conference victory for the Thunderhawks.
Springborn wins sport modifieds feature race
The new clay was put on the Shawano Speedway just days before the May 10 races, and it appears to have held up well. New London’s Tanner Janke started second but took the checkered flag in the modified feature race.
