Mark Roy Dittmann, 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Shawano. Mark was born Nov. 26, 1950, in Shawano, to the late Oscar and Dorothy (Bahrke) Dittmann. On March 6, 2004, he was united in marriage to Lana Ann Laabs at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Mark loved classic cars, especially his 1929 Model T, 1955 Handyman Wagon and 1992 Chevy truck. He was a member of Thornton Trail Riders and the Minnesota Street Rod Association.

Marcia Diane Wagner passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. She was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Oconto Falls to the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Marion Wagner of Gillett. She was a 1965 graduate of Gillett High School.

Jeanette Mae (Smith) Pagel, 92, of Kelly Lake, died on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Cottages at Meadowlands Senior Living in Oconto Falls, after a long bout with cancer. Jeanette was born in Suring to Joseph and Mabel (Sorenson) Smith on May 19, 1932. She was the youngest of four siblings.

Rose E. Popp, 83, of Hatley, passed away peacefully at the family homestead (where she was born and raised and then returned to live later in life) in Hatley on May 3, 2025. Rose was born to the late Mary and Stanley Lapinski on Dec. 29, 1941, in Hatley. She graduated from Birnamwood High School in 1960. Rose is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Popp; and daughters, Brenda Jozwiak-Boldig (husband, Don) and Colleen Berkhahn (husband, John).

May 5 Bonduel 7, Shiocton 4 Bonduel fell behind 3-1 after two innings but kept plugging away and took the lead at 4-3 after five. The Bears would go on to win 7-4. The Chiefs tied it at 4-4 in the sixth on a single by Henry Garvey. Jack Zernicke singled to start the seventh for Bonduel and advanced to third on a bunt hit by Cade Johnson.

May 6 Oconto Falls 10, Waupaca 1 Carter Heroux and Easton Engel each hit 3-for-4 and scored two runs in Oconto Falls’ 10-1 win over Waupaca. Heroux also had a pair of RBIs. Chase Carriveau hit 2-for-4 with a run scored and four RBIs. Grayson Cahak hit 2-for-3 with an RBI. Trace Brehmer was the winning pitcher.

May 9 Amherst 5, Bonduel 4 Bonduel went to Amherst and came out on the losing end of a 5-4 game. Amherst struck first with two runs in the first inning on a double by Sully Perkins. Bonduel tied it on back-to-back singles by Joe Felhofer and Carter Moesch in the third. Amherst retook the lead on an infield single by Noah Spoelstra.
