Randy David Kratz passed away unexpectedly Oct. 2, 2024.
Randy was born June 9, 1959, to Norman and Beverly Kratz (Everard).
Randy graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1977. He proudly joined the Army from 1977-82, where he was honorably discharged as a sergeant. After returning to Oconto Falls, he started a family where he had Michael and Christopher. On July 12, 2003, he married Julie Montie.
A passion of Randy’s was wrestling, and he dedicated decades of his time to the Oconto Falls Youth Wrestling program. He enjoyed being able to coach his sons and stepsons.
Randy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He would often brag the only opening season he missed was when he was deployed in Germany. He loved the Green Bay Packers as much as he enjoyed being outside.
Randy prided himself on being a hard worker. From driving truck, owning his own truck, owning a bar and the last 20-plus years at C&L Contracting LLC as a foreman. Many people can share memories of him at Julie and Randy’s The West.
Randy was looking forward to retirement where he was going to dedicate more time to gardening, canning, being in the woods and on the water. Randy’s most recent adventure was spending time with his little buddy and grandson, Kaden.
Survivors are his wife of 21 years, Julie; sons, Micheal (Courtney) Kratz, Christopher (Dr. Amy) Kratz; stepchildren, Josh Montie, Zach (Jill) Montie, Jake (Elizabeth) Montie, Breanna Montie; seven grandchildren, Hailey, Jase, Jacksyn, Braxton, Oliver, Kaden, Addi; siblings, Rick Kratz, Jeff (Sharon) Kratz; sisters-in-law, Diane (Greg) Wiss and Pam (John) Carew; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie; mother- and father-in-law, William and Julieanne Newton; sister-in-law, Susan; and brother-in-law, Jeff.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at Jones Funeral Services in Oconto Falls. A service of remembrance will be held at noon, concluding with military honors. Cremation will follow.
