The Green Bay Packers are probably kicking themselves after falling into a tie against the Dallas Cowboys before their bye week.

Out of the bye, the Packers will return to Lambeau Field having not won a game in more than a calendar month.

The Bengals as a team are struggling right now as they’ve lost their franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow, for the remainder of the season due to a foot injury.

In another example of time being a flat circle, five weeks into the NFL season and the special teams unit is among the top stories for the Green Bay Packers.

This season, the Packers special teams unit has seen a number of plays, both good and bad, that have had a major impact on the results of games.

The Green Bay Packers are returning home for the first time since early September, and they’ll take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

The Packers have not won a game since that 28-19 victory over the Washington Commanders, having lost and tied their first two road games of the season.

The Bengals season is in flux right now, as quarterback Joe Burrow has been lost for the season with a foot injury.

Brandon McManus’ missed PAT attempt against Dallas in Week 4 opened the scoring window for the Cowboys. Hours later, the game ended in a 40-40 overtime tie.

“It’s hard to find the word for it,” McManus said. “Just a weird game; weird game for sure.”

Teams are just about one quarter of the way through the NFL season, and the Green Bay Packers are going into their bye week.

Packers kicker Brandon McManus nailed a 34-yard field goal as the time expired in overtime, resulting in a 40-40 tie in Micah Parsons’ return to Dallas on Sept. 28.

McManus’ game-tying field goal matched Cowboys’ kicker Brandon Aubrey’s field goal, giving the Packers its seventh tie game since 1974, when overtime was introduced to the NFL, and the first since it tied the Minnesota Vikings 29-29 in 2018.
