Barbara E. Winfree, 79, of Manitowoc, formerly of Shawano, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, Jan. 8, 2014, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.
Barb was born March 8, 1934, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Grandolin Schoenike and Kenneth Bethke.
She had worked at Holiday House in Manitowoc for many years. She was always happy-go-lucky and had a positive attitude.
Barb is survived by her caregivers, Doreen Brisch, of Manitowoc, and June Bethke of Bonduel. She will be missed by all the residents who knew her.
Funeral services for Barbara Winfree will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Pastor Mark Palmer will officiate. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her parents at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Relatives and friends may call at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
