Track and field stars advance to state meet

De Pere, Division 1

Finishers in the top three at Division 1 sectionals qualified for the state meet, which will be held June 5-6 at UW-La Crosse.

Pulaski athletes advancing to the state meet are:

Emerson Fabry, girls 800-meter run, first, 2:14.56; 1,600-meter run, second.

Talyn Pratt, 200-meter dash, second.

Noelle Manning, shot put, second.

Maggie Gerth, 1,600-meter run, third.

Max Fredrickson, boys 400-meter dash, first, 48.97.

Keaton Dauk, 300-meter hurdles, first, 38.58; 110-meter hurdles, second.

Fredrickson, Landyn Kroll, Kam McKeefry and Dauk, 4x400-meter relay, second.

Boddan Schmidt, long jump, second.

Mitchell Pilon, 800-meter run, third.

Chilton, Division 2

Finishers in the top four at Division 2 sectionals qualified for the state meet.

Competing at Chilton were athletes from Menominee Nation, Oconto Falls, Shawano and Wittenberg-Birnamwood.

Boys advancing are:

Oconto Falls: Brady Bursa, long jump, first, 22 feet, 3.25 inches; triple jump, fourth.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood: Logan Gibson, Phoenix Horacek, Bryson Schmid and Kaden Yaeger, 4x400, fourth.

Girls advancing to state are:

Oconto Falls: Emery Pagel, Brooke Fenlon, Gracie Miller and Rylie Shallow, 4x100, third.

Shawano: Mikelah Powers, Jillian Guenther, Bailey Hendricks and Tela Hopfensperger, 4x800, fourth.

Hilbert, Division 3

Finishers in the top four at Division 3 sectionals qualified for the state meet.

Athletes competed from Bonduel, Bowler/Gresham, Gillett, Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy, Marion/Tigerton, Suring and Wolf River Lutheran.

Boys advancing are:

Gillett: Bradyn Wendorff, 800-meter run, first, 1:56.54.

Bonduel: Griffin Uelmen, Carter Moesch, Gage Scholl and Malachi Gray, 4x200, second; Mason Ballwahn, 400-meter dash, third; Gage Anderson, 800-meter run, third; Uelmen, Moesch, Scholl and Ballwahn, 4x400, third; Ryan Westrich, discus, third; Uelmen, Moesch, Ryan Westrich and Gray, 4x100, fourth; Ryan Westrich, shot put, fourth.

Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy: Zander Thomson, 110-meter hurdles, third; Mat Yaggie, 300-meter hurdles, fourth.

Girls advancing are:

Bonduel: Josie Pawlak, triple jump, first, 36-08; Peyton Westrich, 400-meter run, second; Paige Niquette, Pawlak, Audrey Jacobs and Peyton Westrich, 4x100, second; Pawlak, long jump, second; Peyton Westrich, triple jump, second; Peyton Westrich, 200-meter run, fourth; Niquette, Cierra Schnell, Pawlak and Jacobs, 4x200, fourth; Mariah Wondra, 3,200-meter run, extra qualifier.

Suring: Aliya Cox, 300-meter hurdles, second; Cox, 100-meter hurdles, third.
