Bonduel traveled to Wittenberg for a regional championship game that ended up being an old-fashioned pitchers duel.
Bonduel’s Cade Johnson and Witt-Birn’s Zander Barke each threw six shutout innings. In the seventh, Race Anvelink doubled to lead off the Bonduel half of the inning. However, he would not advance as Barke shut down the next three hitters.
In the bottom half, Connor Meverden singled to lead off the inning. After Meverden was sacrificed to second, Hudson Miller singled to left field to score Meverden with the only run of the game.
Anvelink, Beckett Hartlaben and Kody Schroeder had the only hits for the Bears. Barke had two hits to lead the Chargers.
Bonduel end their season at 15-9 overall. The team was third in the CWC East at 10-4.
According to season-ending stats by wissports.net, the Bears were led by Hartlaben hitting .500 and Kody Schroeder hitting .333.
Joe Felhofer had 22 RBIs, and Schroeder had 16. Cade Johnson had five wins on the mound, and Hartlaben collected three.
Lena 4, Phelps/Three Lakes 1
Lena captured the regional title with a 4-1 win over Phelps/Three Lakes. The Wildcats advance to the sectional games, just two wins away from competing at the state tournament.
Hortonville 5, Pulaski 1
The 2025 campaign for the Red Raiders came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Hortonville in the regional title game.
Pulaski finished the regular season at 11-7 in the Fox River Classic Conference (fourth place) and was 17-10 over the course of the regular and playoff seasons.
