State milk production up slightly

Milk production in Wisconsin during June totaled 2.73 billion pounds, up 1% from the previous June, according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service Milk Production report. The average number of milk cows during June, at 1.27 million head, was unchanged from last month but up 3,000 from June 2023.
