Marvin (Marv) Christensen Oct. 10, 1935 — Oct. 12, 2021

Marv Christensen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, just after celebrating his 86th birthday with his family. Marv, the fourth child of Verna Ramage and Conrad Christensen, grew up in Gillett. Growing up on a farm, Marv tended to pigs, sheep and cows and joined 4-H. Marv graduated from Gillett High School in 1953 and shortly after joined the Army, serving from 1955 to 1957. Marv met Marlene McHugh on a blind date, and on Nov.
Ronald M. Murray
Artist, trail wanderer and avid storyteller Ronald Martin Murray, 76, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, after a very strenuous and most courageous battle with cancer. He had five children, all of whom were with him at his bedside when he departed for his last great adventure. Ron was born March 10, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, to Virgil and Charlotte Murray.

Donald R. Brunner
Donald R. “Don” Brunner, 83, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday morning, Oct. 9, 2021, at The Cottages in Shawano following a battle with kidney disease. Don was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Leopolis to the late Ivan and Kate (Schoenburger) Brunner. He attended school in Marion, graduating with the Class of 1956. On Feb. 22, 1957, Don was united in marriage to Carole Ann Hylander. Together they made their home in Leopolis.
Fred N. Bowersock
Fred Norris Bowersock, 83, of Gresham, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at ThedaCare Medical Center. Fred was born May 25, 1938, in the town of Lima, Ohio, to Eva Bowersock, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 28, 1958, Fred was united in marriage to Lucy (Hass) Bowersock. Those who knew Fred knew he had a huge heart and stuck to his convictions. He was always happy to give advice to anyone who needed it.
Ruth E. Hartleben
Ruth E. Hartleben, 90, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at her home. Ruth was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Bonduel to the late Emil and Dora (Wolf) Hartwig. She graduated from Bonduel High School. Ruth was united in marriage to Orville Hartleben, her sweetheart since 1948, on Oct. 21, 1950, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington. She owned and operated Ruthie’s Shawano News for 35 years in Shawano.
James R. Zeman
James R. “Big Z” Zeman, 84, of Shawano, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, Oct. 8, 2021, at Shawano Health Services. James was born Sept. 10, 1937, in Bonduel, a son of the late Alois and Beatrice (Schultz) Zeman. He attended school in Bonduel and worked on the family farm. On Dec.
