Alyce L. Ankerson, 101, Gillett, died Sunday morning, Oct. 31, 2021, at St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls. She was born March 27, 1920, in rural Oconto Falls to Anton and Astrid (Nelson) Anderson. As a young lady, she moved to San Diego with her two brothers, Arnold and Merlin “Chet” Anderson, to work at Consolidated AirCraft assembling airplanes for the war effort. On Sept. 30, 1950, she married Robert M. Ankerson in Oconto.

Marguerite H. Western, 90, of Mequon, formerly of Kelly Lake, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021. She was born on Dec. 31, 1930, in Chicago to the late Matthew “Harry” and Marguerite (Tricola) Taylor. Marguerite was united in marriage to Leithen Western on Aug.

Irene J. Mayernik, 96, of Spruce, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. Irene was born in Mt. Olive, Illinois, on Feb. 16, 1925, to the late George and Mary (Gavrun) Bobik. Irene married Albert Mayernik on Oct. 25, 1947, and they lived their whole married life on their farm in Spruce. She made lots of apple pies and enjoyed canning and baking.

Carol J. Blazek, 68, Kelly Lake, died peacefully Thursday evening, Oct. 21, 2021, with her loving family by her side in Oconto Falls following complications from a 16-year courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born March 13, 1953, in Oconto Falls to Emanuel “Chick” and Fern Umentum.

Veronica “Bonnie” Lucille Fischer passed away peacefully in her home the morning of Oct. 19, 2021, at the age of 90. Bonnie spent the last chapter of her life enjoying the “Lake Life” in the house her husband and family helped build many years ago. She loved to garden and to have her flower gardens always looking beautiful.

Donna M. Krueger, 93, formerly of the Town of Belle Plaine, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, in Appleton. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory in Clintonville is assisting her family.
