Wilma E. Beilfuss

Wilma E. Beilfuss, 88, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at her home surrounded by her three loving daughters. Born on July 10, 1925, in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Aurelia (Strauss) Beyer. On Aug. 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Harry F. Beilfuss at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. After marriage the couple lived in the Shawano area until moving to Port Washington. They lived for 25 years in Port Washington, where Wilma worked for Fox Point Sportswear. After retiring, the couple moved back to the Shawano area in 1992. Wilma enjoyed watching sports, doing craftwork, sewing and gardening. Wilma is survived by her children, Bonnie (Gerald) Cope, of Dutton, Va., Barbara (Tim) Schmid, of Shawano, Bette (Jeff) Quade, of Saukville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Marvin (Beatrice) Beilfuss, of Sturgeon Bay, Gerald (Pat) Beilfuss, of Clintonville; and three sisters-in-law, Adeline Beilfuss, Elaine Gueths and Janet Beyer, all of Shawano. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, on Dec. 9, 2012; her parents; and three brothers, Donald, Earl and Harold Beyer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Drive Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that memorials be sent to St. James Lutheran Church.
