Sacred Heart Catholic School hosted a Veterans Day celebration Nov. 11.
The event brought together students, staff, families and community members in a tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to protecting the country.
“Our Veterans embody courage, sacrifice and service,” said Autumne Gee, director of admissions and development. “It was a privilege to welcome them into our school and show our deep appreciation through prayer, song and community. Coming from a long line of military men, I always look forward to organizing this event.”
The celebration was rooted in faith and gratitude, featuring a program that included a prayer for peace and protection for all who serve, patriotic songs performed by students, scripture readings reflecting on service and sacrifice, gifts and student-made cards presented to veterans as tokens of appreciation and a special blessing of the veterans, led by Deacon James Lonick.
