Kayla Brendemuehl will be the next activities director for the Shawano School District, effective Dec. 2.
Brendemuehl is succeeding Joel Wondra, who is retiring.
A Shawano Community High School graduate, Brendemuehl has served the district for eight years as a teacher, coach and associate principal.
“As a Shawano graduate, I take great pride in this community and the experiences we offer our students,” Brendemuehl said. “I’m excited to build on our strong foundation of athletics and activities, helping every student find their passion, develop their skills and represent Shawano with pride.”
Her deep connection to the community, commitment to students and leadership within the district make her a strong fit to lead the district’s athletic and co-curricular programs into the future, according to Superintendent Kurt Krizan.
“Kayla has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork and a deep commitment to students,” Krizan said. “Her experience as a teacher, coach and administrator gives her a unique perspective on how to support both students and staff in achieving excellence across all of our programs.”
