Robert L. Boettcher, 66, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Appleton. Born on March 20, 1947, in Shawano, he was the son of the late Lester and Linda (Breitzman) Boettcher.
Robert married the former Renee Fredenberg, who preceded him in death on May 21, 2003. Robert was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed working on and fixing things. When not working, he loved to hunt and fish.
Robert is survived by five children, Robert, James, Billie Jo, Ralph “Charlie” and Shirley; nine grandchildren, Blade, Tayler, Trevor, Ali, Kaitlin, Christopher, Tessa, Sage and Alena; and a great-grandchild.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Renee, his parents, and a brother, Jim Boettcher.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
