Chargers dominate Weyauwega-Fremont The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls basketball team beat Weyauwega-Fremont 57-35 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 game Thursday in Wittenberg. “The girls played well tonight,” Wittenberg-Birnamwood coach Mike Balliett said. “We had balanced scoring and shot well from the outside.” Mikayla Hartman led the Chargers (14-2, 9-1 CWC-8) with 19 points. Micah Nier added 11. Karissas Akey scored 11 to lead Weyauwega-Fremont (5-9, 1-7 CWC-8). Truckers edged by Little Chute The Clintonville High School boys basketball team lost to Little Chute 43-42 in a Eastern Valley Conference game Thursday in Clintonville. Andy Schmidt led Clintonville (8-9, 4-8 Eastern Valley) with 20 points. He also had six rebounds and two assists. DJ DeValk led Little Chute (11-6, 9-3 Eastern Valley) with 17 points.
