• Logan L. Hernandez, 40, Shawano, pleaded no contest Dec. 15 to misdemeanor charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A related felony charge was dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge Michael Judge levied $926 in court costs and sentenced Hernandez to 10 days in county jail.
• John Lawrence Belongia, 49, Appleton, pleaded no contest Sept. 15 to strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct. Judge approved a two-year deferred judgment agreement for the felony count, suspending the proceedings for two years. As for the misdemeanors, he withheld sentencing and placed Belongia on probation for 18 months with conditions.
• Ryker L. Shampo, 26, Oconto, pleaded no contest Dec. 19 to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed knife. Related felony charges were dismissed but read into the record in a plea agreement. Judge levied fines and court costs and sentenced him to 122 days in jail, time deemed served.
• Ronald Kenneth Verhagen, 57, Suring, was charged Dec. 15 with possession of methamphetamine, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Judge Jay Conley set a $1,500 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Jan. 7.
• Jeremy Lee Rushton, 37, Lena, was charged Dec. 15 with strangulation and suffocation, battery and disorderly conduct as a domestic abuse repeater. Conley set a $750 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Jan. 15.
• Brett W. Nichols, 54, Oconto, was charged Dec. 15 with two counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked and violating an ignition interlock device order. Conley set a $500 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Jan. 15.
• Michael L. Booth, 38, Lena, was charged Dec. 16 with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, victim intimidation and misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and operating a firearm while intoxicated. Conley set a $20,000 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Jan. 15.
• Diann L. Moeller, 60, Lena, was charged Dec. 18 with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, felony bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Conley set a $10,000 cash bond and adjourned her initial appearance until Jan. 15.
• Jeremiah Gene Hanna, 24, Suamico, was charged Dec. 18 with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of felony bail jumping. Conley set a $2,000 cash bond and adjourned his initial appearance until Jan. 15.
