Robert J. Gartzke, 62, Lakewood, entered no contest pleas to five counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested July 14 in the town of Lakewood. A six-month jail sentence was imposed on each count, then stayed. He was placed on probation six months on each count, to run concurrent. He must spend 14 days in jail with work release privileges and pay fines and court costs totaling $4,906, maintain absolute sobriety and receive any counseling or treatment recommended.
Proceedings from Jan. 28
A plea and sentencing hearing will be held Feb. 19 for Eric A. Bayer, 35, Suring. He is accused of possession of a controlled substance, second offense, and was arrested April 19 in Suring. His $100 cash bond continues, and he is to have no illegal drugs. He also faces charges of strangulation and suffocation and battery, which allegedly took place Dec. 30 in the town of Underhill. His arraignment on these charges will be held Feb. 13, and a $500 cash bond continues.
Ronald R. Griffin II, 41, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to third degree sexual assault, which allegedly took place May 24 in Oconto, and to second degree sexual assault, false imprisonment and battery, which is alleged to have occurred Aug. 18 in the town of Stiles. His pretrial conference is Feb. 13, and a $30,000 cash bond continues.
Brett J. Woodke, 25, Suring, entered a no contest plea to two counts of second degree recklessly endangering another’s safety, two counts of pointing a firearm at another and a charge of battery. He was arrested Aug. 25 in the town of Breed. A $100,000 cash bond was revoked, and he remains in custody until his March 19 sentencing.
Sentencing is March 14 for Robert S. Brostrom, 76, Abrams. He entered a no contest plea to driving while intoxicated, fifth offense, which took place Aug. 14 in the town of Abrams. His $5,000 cash bond continues.
Proceedings from Jan. 27
A jury trial will begin March 6 for Douglas J. Piontek, 42, Wabeno. He pleaded not guilty to charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia, all of which allegedly took place April 9 in the town of Townsend. His $500 cash bond continues. He also entered not guilty pleas to telephone harassment and harassment charges, which allegedly occurred April 28 in the town of Townsend, and felony bail jumping on July 6. All charges will be addressed at the March 6 jury trial.
