Keith F. Lawrenz, 53, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born on March 4, 1960, in Port Washington, he was the son of Viola (Perkins) Lawrenz and the late Jacob “Jake” Lawrenz.
Keith graduated from Bonduel High School in 1978. On March 29, 1991, he was united in marriage to Patty McKenna. Keith was a hard worker who spent most of his career building boats. When not at work, he loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
Keith is survived by his wife, Patty; his daughter, Nicole (special friend, Nick Wetherall) Binkowski, of Shawano; his son, Jacob Lawrenz, of Shawano; his mother, Viola Lawrenz, of Shawano; two brothers, Randall (Laurie) Lawrenz, of Sheboygan, and Jeff Lawrenz, of Cleveland, Wis.; a sister, Janet (special friend, Bob) Lawrenz, of Gillett; his cat, Cuttlz; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Jake Lawrenz, and a sister, Betsy Elizabeth Lawrenz.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at The Lighthouse in Shawano on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. The Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
