Hawks swimmers still undefeated

The Shawano Community High School boys swim team beat Lakeland Union 86-83 Tuesday in Minocqua to stay undefeated in the Great Northern Conference. Zach Soper won both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle. He finished the 50 in 22.31 and the 100 in 51.46. Christian Kane also earned a first for the Hawks, taking the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.33. Rolondo Colon took second in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. Griffin Rades took second in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke. Shawano’s 200 medley relay team of Rades, Kane, Soper and Jake Klister took first with a time of 1:51.28. Shawano took second in the 200 freestyle relay (Kane, Craig Kraning, Nathan Kane, Colon) and the 400 freestyle relay (Klister, Colon, Rades, Soper). The Hawks head to Rhinelander on Friday for the conference meet.
