Anne Marie Banaszynski, 55, Phelps, died unexpectedly late Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, 2014, from massive heart failure and was received into God’s loving arms at St. Claire’s Hospital in Weston.
She was born April 16, 1958, in Green Bay to Mildred and Theodore Sinclair. Anne grew up in the Pulaski area, where she attended Pulaski Public Schools. Anne graduated from Pulaski High School, and it is there she also met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Benedict “Jay” Banaszynski Jr.
Anne and Jay were married on Nov. 11, 1977, at Pamperin Park in Green Bay. They raised three children (two daughters, one son) and lived in Pulcifer for over 20 years.
After their children were grown and starting families of their own, Anne and Jay moved up north to Phelps, where their family enjoyed vacationing and camping every year. Anne and Jay have lived in Phelps for the past six years.
Anne will be lovingly remembered as an amazing wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother. She lived her life with enthusiasm and love that had positive effects on anyone who was around her. Nothing gave Anne greater joy and happiness than spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors are her husband, Benedict “Jay” Banaszynski Jr., Phelps; son-in-law, Mike Kallies, Elizabeth and Mitchell; daughter, Misty (Bradley) Reed, Tesia Banaszynski, Jaden, Damien, Jagger; son, Kevin (Megan) Banaszynski, Danika, all of Oconto Falls; her older siblings, Helen Sinclair, Green Bay; Bob (Paula) Sinclair, Minnesota; Marge Mogged, Shawano; Katie (Butch) Bjorlin, Arizona; Dorothy (Alvin) Grzeskowiak, Pulaski; Evelyn Christopherson, Pulaski; other special nieces, nephews and family.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Theodore Sinclair; her mother-in-law, Sandy Banaszynski; and her daughter, Kelly Kallies.
Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 25, at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Larry Bong officiating.
