Randy L. Fisher, 53, Suring, passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born in Green Bay on Dec. 9, 1960, to Lyle and Barbara (Gretzon) Fisher. Randy married Laura Heins at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes on Nov. 12, 1993.
Randy worked for the Oconto County Highway Department and loved plowing snow. His hobbies were mowing his lawn, gardening and being outside. He was a volunteer youth basketball coach for 25 years and was very active in both the boys and girls Suring High School basketball teams. Randy loved his family and especially enjoyed supporting them in sporting events. Randy is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Laura, of Suring; two amazing daughters, Danielle and Erin; his mother, Barbara Fisher, of Oconto Falls; his brother, Rick (Mary), of Green Bay; two sisters, Coco (Jay) Kramer, of Suamico, Carrie (Mark) Strehlow, of Suring; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Gretzon. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Fisher, in 2002.
Visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at noon, with Pastor Nick Buchholz officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.
