At 7:15 p.m. Feb. 1, a pickup truck driven by a man from Suring was northbound on state Highway 32 at Valley Line Road in the town of Gillett. As he was rounding a curve, his truck began to slide sideways and struck a westbound truck driven by a man from Antioch, Ill. Both trucks sustained moderate damage. No injuries were reported.
At 4:10 p.m. Jan. 26, a man from Seymour was driving westbound on South Chase Road at County Road C in the town of Chase. His vehicle slid through the intersection as he attempted to stop at the stop sign. His vehicle struck a southbound car driven by a man from Pulaski, who was injured and transported to a medical facility. Minor damage was reported to the Seymour man’s car, but there was extensive damage to the vehicle driven by the Pulaski man.
At 2:35 p.m. Jan. 26, a man from Lena was driving southbound on Old 141 Road north of Butterfly Lane in the town of Lena when his vehicle struck a snowbank as he tried to avoid a snowmobile on the roadway ahead of him. The snowmobile was operated by a juvenile male.
At 7:44 p.m. Jan. 27, an Oconto man was driving north on Airport Road, town of Oconto, and failed to execute a curve, causing his vehicle to enter a ditch. No injuries were reported, and damage to his car was listed as minor.
A burglary at the Everbreeze Resort, Lake Shore Lane, town of Mountain, was reported on Jan. 20. The owner stated an ATM machine was damaged but not entered. Also, five gaming machines were damaged but not entered. A jar containing money was missing.
A burglary was reported Jan. 24 by a Germantown resident who owns property on East County Line Road, town of Little River. A pole building door was broken to gain entry. Missing items include tools, flashlights, full gasoline and kerosene tanks, and copper fittings and wiring.
