Three students in the Gillett School District will advance to the regional spelling bee at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Coleman. Serenity Corona will represent Gillett School, Willy Reynolds, GOAL Academy, and Kallie Frank, Cre8 charter school.
The three students were selected at the districtwide spelling bee Friday in the Meunier-Pelow Auditorium at Gillett High School.
Fourteen students in grades five through eight competed, including Brandon Rodgers, Samantha Kahler, Grace Wichman, Caden Moede, Adam Anderson, Nick Hertwig, Trevor Jackson, Allison Moede, Myriah Marohl, Sydney Young and Heath Piaskowski.
Don Olderman was the announcer, and Tami McQuillan was the judge.
