Hope Community Church is inviting individuals and families from across the community to celebrate Holy Week and experience a message of hope, forgiveness and new life.
This year’s Easter celebration emphasizes the message that Easter is for everyone, encouraging guests to come as they are and discover the life-changing hope found through Jesus. Holy Week isn’t just a date on the calendar – it’s the slow walk from palm branches to an empty tomb, from cheers in the streets to whispers in a garden, from a cross to a sunrise that changed everything.
The journey began Palm Sunday, with celebratory services remembering Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem and the joyful cries of “Hosanna.”
A special highlight of the week is Maundy Thursday at 5:30 p.m., when attendees are invited to gather for a reflective worship service focused on the night Jesus served his disciples, demonstrated sacrificial love and shared the Last Supper. The evening will include communion followed by a free community meal, offering an opportunity for fellowship and meaningful connection.
The menu includes gyros with tzatziki sauce on the side, mixed nuts, cheese curds, dried mangoes and a salad.
At 5:30 p.m. Good Friday, services at both campuses will create space to pause and remember the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the significance of the cross.
The celebration culminates Easter Sunday with multiple services centered on the message of resurrection and renewed hope. Guests can expect uplifting worship, encouraging messages and welcoming environments for people at every stage of their faith journey.
In addition to worship experiences, Hope will offer engaging and age-appropriate programming for children.
“Easter is a time when we are reminded that hope is real and that God sent his Son as a ransom for many,” said the Rev. Marshall Faulks. “It’s a season that invites us to reflect on renewal, grace and the promise of new beginnings in him.
“We want people from Clintonville, Shawano and the surrounding communities to know they are welcome here – no matter their background or where they are in their faith journey. Whether you’ve been attending Hope Community Church for years, are searching for answers or simply looking for a place to belong, there is a seat for you. Our hope is that every person who walks through our doors experiences love, encouragement, and the message of the Good News this Holy Week.”
Easter services are at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. in Clintonville (Clintonville High School, 64 Green Tree Road), and at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10:30 in Shawano (302 Tristan Drive).
