Incumbent loses seat in Gillett school primary

Gillett School Board incumbent Nanette Mohr came up short among five candidates on the Feb. 17 primary election ballot and will see her time on the board come to an end.

Advancing to the April 7 general election are incumbent Jamie J. Heroux and challengers Nicole Blaskowski, Ben Korth and Elizabeth Telford.

They will compete for two seats on the board, each with a three-year term that will begin April 20.

In the primary, unofficial results show Blaskowski garnered the most votes at 214. She was followed by Telford with 179, Heroux with 147 and Korth with 132. Mohr collected 62 votes.
