DATCP seeks nominations for 3 potato board seats

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is accepting nominations through March 27 for three seats on the Wisconsin Potato Industry Board.

Potato growers in Districts 1, 2 and 3 are eligible to nominate board members or be nominated. District 1 includes Menominee and Oconto counties, while District 2 includes Shawano County.

Potato growers should receive a nomination form in the mail. Eligible growers also can request nomination forms by emailing DATCP’s Market Orders program staff at datcpmarketorders@wisconsin.gov. Each nomination form must include signatures of at least five eligible potato growers, other than the nominee, from the district in which the nominee is running for office. A declaration of eligibility located on the nomination form must also be completed.

Completed forms must be postmarked on or before March 27 and mailed to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, Market Orders Program, PO Box 8911, Madison, WI 53708-8911.

DATCP will conduct the Wisconsin Potato Industry Board election from May 11 to June 15. Elected board members will serve from July 2026 to June 2029.
