ThedaCare was named one of the 15 Top Health Systems in the nation by Modern Healthcare and Premier Inc.

The announcement follows an objective quantitative analysis conducted by Premier, a technology-driven healthcare improvement company. The annual study evaluates health system performance considering clinical outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience to identify high-performing health organizations.

United Way is getting more involved in area activities, especially when it comes to food and homelessness.

Uriah Williams, executive director for Shawano County’s United Way program, told the Shawano Common Council on July 8 that the sudden closure of Newcap earlier this year left a void in the services provided for emergency homeless shelters.
