The Healthy Oconto County Coalition will hold a special men’s mental health event from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 22 at Romy’s Holiday Inn, 9600 County Road G, Suring.
The evening will feature a presentation by Dr. Michael Weber titled “Learn How to Deal with Negative People and Keep from Becoming Negative Yourself.” Weber will share practical strategies for managing difficult relationships, maintaining a positive mindset and building resilience in everyday life.
Mental health challenges affect individuals of all ages and backgrounds, yet men, specifically, are less likely to seek support or openly discuss their struggles. This event aims to create a welcoming environment where they can learn valuable tools for improving emotional well-being while connecting with others.
The event includes dinner and the presentation, with tickets costing $25 per person. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win door prizes and giveaways generously donated by local businesses. Community members interested in attending are encouraged to register early, as seating may be limited. Register at t.ly/lRpsY and find more information about the event on the Healthy Oconto County Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/HealthyOCTeam
The Healthy Oconto County Coalition is committed to ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent anyone from attending. Sponsorships are available for individuals who may find the registration cost to be a barrier by reaching out to Brenda Rehberg at 920-835-1101 or brenda.rehberg@emplifyhealth.org.
