Margaret Carlson, 87, Birnamwood, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at the Cady Memorial Home, Birnamwood, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born on Oct. 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Gust and Lilly (Linsten) Carlson.
Margaret was a gentle soul. She was always very helpful and enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
Survivors include three sisters, Leila (Rev. Chester) Olson, Staples, Minn., Mable Sargent, Neenah, and Betty (Art) Wanless, Taos, N.M. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by three brothers, Everett, Elmer and Edfurd.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
