Lynn Ellen Koenigs, 73, of Black Creek, passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019. Lynn was born on Sept. 27, 1946, in Green Bay, to June (Beilfuss) Raether and the late Bertrand Raether.
On Dec. 10, 1966, Lynn was united in marriage to John Koenigs at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cicero. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Washington D.C. Temple.
Lynn worked as a third grade school teacher for 34 years in the Seymour Community School District. She played for the KNX band for many years, performing vocals and playing the keyboard. In her spare time she enjoyed miniatures and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lynn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Lynn is survived by her husband, John; her children, Ryan (Sabina) Koenigs, of California, Amy (Jason) Jensen, of Gresham, Trent (Abbie) Koenigs, of Little Chute, Jonathan (Sarah) Koenigs, of Hortonville, Cody Koenigs, of Gresham, Stephanie (Scott Breitenbach) Pasch, of Nichols, and Alissa (Brandon) Cragun, of Black Creek; her grandchildren, Tana (Brandon) Nite, Sydney (Tyler) Wagner, Jayden Jensen, Ireland Jensen, Kaden Koenigs, Nolan Koenigs, Estelle Koenigs, Matthias Koenigs, John Richard Koenigs, Lexington Koenigs, Evan Koenigs, Jaxson Koenigs, Brielle Koenigs, Corbyn Brockman, Cambry Brockman, Xander Pasch, Calli Cragun and Daisy Cragun.
She is further survived by her mother, June Raether; her sister, Diana Malcheski, of Black Creek; and other family members and friends.
A funeral service for Lynn will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Shawano Ward, with Bishop Matt Kaveinga officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Cicero. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
