Help shape the future of Shawano County.

The Land Conservation Department and its advisory committee are in the process of drafting its 2026-36 Land and Water Resource Management Plan, and the public’s input is wanted.

Past county, state and federal staff have tackled many issues facing the county and have made progress in addressing many conservation issues. To continue improvement, officials need to prioritize efforts, address new problems and set up achievable outcomes.

With the public’s input, they can assess residents’ concerns and observations to help guide discussions and initiatives to focus work being done on the landscape to improve and protect soil and water resources.

“It is extremely valuable for us to understand what is of concern to you and other residents of Shawano County,” said Scott Frank, county conservationist.
