Shawano Invitational
Shawano’s boys outscored their opponents 196-174 to win their first ever home invitational.
The girls team won the event twice in the past three years, but this marked the first win for the boys in the since the tournament started more than 30 years ago.
Kian Morstad, Nikkolas Waukau and Drew Chelberg each won first place in their weight divisions.
Kody Popelka placed second, with Cash Panske and Marcus Brezgel each taking fourth place.
Dane Hodkiewicz finished in fifth place, and Dylan Gartner and Austin Stickney each placed sixth. The girls had a short list of competitors due to injury and placed fourth as a team.
Jenna Moede finished in first place, with Lauren Seehafer in third and Amiyah O’Kimosh in fifth.
