Offensive line rounds into shape

James Starks rightly got his due for finally breaking the 100-yard rushing bugaboo for the Packers. Starks’ hard running inspired his teammates, especially the offensive line, who in turn responded with some superb blocking Sunday. “It was just exciting for the entire offense as a whole to watch a guy go out there and run like that,” center Evan Dietrich-Smith said.
Packers @ Bengals: Keys to the Game
Green Bay Packers Sustain drives The Packers have shown their ability to be a quick-strike offense so far this season. The offense has put together several drives of over 60 yards in under two minutes. The no-huddle and big plays work for the Packers. Task force considers multi-use plan for SMC site
Wherever it ends up being located, a boutique supper club and lodging facility on the waterfront would be a key component of the plan, task force members agreed. Member Chuck Dallas said it would be a draw for companies looking to put up out-of-town clients and vendors, especially if there is access to a meeting room. “This is something that would cater to corporate America and those on a higher wage scale,” he said. Boat slips are also proposed
Most area schools receive passing grade from state
It’s only the third week of classes for public schools, but report cards are already out. Locally, every district but two met the standards determined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The Menominee Indian and Bowler school districts fell into Meets Few Expectations, the category below Meets Expectations, which is considered passing. This is the first year that school districts are getting grades.
