Imig, Meyer to attend Badger Boys State

The Doney-DeGrave American Legion Post 342 will sponsor Keegan Imig’s weeklong session at Badger Boys State in June. Imig, son of Chuck and Kerri Imig, is a junior at Lena High School. He is the treasurer of the Class of 2016 and a member of the National Honor Society, Hi-Q team and the L-Club.

Big Ten champs
There’s a lot of great basketball being played right now. As I write this, the Wisconsin Badgers have just been crowned Big Ten champions and, as a result, have secured a No. 1 seed in the west region of the NCAA Tournament. From what I’ve read, this is the first time in program history they have accomplished that feat. Good for them! We are a basketball and, really, all-sport family.
Volunteer Profile
Paul and Sue Hintz volunteer at the American Legion Post 117 in Shawano. Paul is a Shawano native, graduating from Bonduel High School. He worked for North Country Homes, then tended bar before going to work at Packerland Packing. Paul worked at the former T&C grocery, followed by going to school and working as an auto mechanic.
Nonprofit Profile
Lions Club members are dedicated to helping their communities. Cecil Lions Club charter member Dave Bahr is an excellent example of that dedication. “The community is always first,” Bahr said. “I just enjoyed the camaraderie and what it meant to help people in the community.” The club was chartered in 1973 under the sponsorship of the Bonduel Lions Club. Bahr said the club started with 25 members.
