Gary ‘Kelly’ Steffens Sr.

Gary “Kelly” Steffens Sr., born March 14, 1938, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Friday, April 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Judy (Rosenberg) Steffens; daughter, Sandy (Steffens) Finegan; parents; in-laws; brother; brothers-in-law; sister-in-law; nieces and nephews. Rec center closing set for May 17
It’s full steam ahead for the Shawano Recreation Center’s renovation plans. Matt Hendricks, the city’s parks, recreation and special project director, said the center will officially close to the public May 17. At that time, they’ll prepare to turn the site over to 8Pine Inc., the construction company that will transform the building and site into a more modern facility. “Saturday, May 17, is our last day open to the public,” Hendricks said.
Oconto County 4-H educator earns award

Cross traveling in Gillett on Good Friday
