Jody Williams Swinehart, 54, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2025. Jody was born Dec. 26, 1970, in Milwaukee to Lester and Cheryl Williams, who are now from Antigo.

Wisconsin had 3.9 days suitable for fieldwork statewide for the week ending April 20, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. While days suitable increased, rainy and wet conditions across much of the state limited fieldwork. Field activities included spreading fertilizer and manure, as well as tillage as conditions allowed. Topsoil moisture condition rated 2% very short, 14% short, 65% adequate and 19% surplus.

Gillett Elementary School teacher Tammy Dantoin has been selected as a 2025 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellow.
