NEC Track & Field Pentangular
Members of the Oconto Falls girls track team won three gold medals on their own track.
In the high jump, Calli Bursa led all competitors at 4-8. Teammates Nyah Gardebrecht placed third, and Alexandria Braund was fourth.
Gardebrecht won the triple jump at 29-0.75. Katie Moody placed third, and Kiley Knitter finished sixth.
The 4x400-meter relay team won in 4:31.8.
The 4x800 team placed second, as did Emery Pagel in the 100-meter dash. Teammate Ava Savage finished sixth.
In third was the 4x100 relay team. Ella Younkle was third in the long jump, followed by Gracie Miller in fifth.
In the 200-meter dash, Sydney Braund was fourth, and Alexandria Braund was fifth.
Julia Weier placed fourth in the 400-meter dash, and Vera Deneys-Ondik was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
Hailee Rugg finished fourth in the discus. Melanie Frank placed fourth in the shot put, and Emily Elliott was sixth.
The 4x200 team was fifth.
For the boys, Derek Johnson finished second in the 3,200-meter run, and 4x200 team was also second.
Placing third were the 4x100 and 4x800 teams. Liam Sonderegger was third in the triple jump, and Samuel Feliz placed third in the 110-meter hurdles.
Placing fourth were the 4x400 team, Croix Gardebrecht in the long jump and Asher Verhagen in the discus.
Owen Wallace finished fourth the 800-meter run, followed by Lucas Vanhulle in fifth and Max Pileski in sixth. Sonderegger was fourth in the pole vault, followed by Andrew Vann in fifth.
Brady Bursa placed fifth in the high jump.
Earning a sixth-place finish were Caleb Dryja in the shot put and Vanhulle in the 1,600-meter run.
Bay Conference Relays
Shawano’s boys scored 83 points and placed third among eight teams, and the girls scored 50.75 points and placed sixth at Green Bay West. Combined, the teams scored 133.75 points and finished in fourth place.
The boys 4x100 team of Elijah Senft, Aiden Rasmussen, Heriberto Rubio and Bryce Lammers capture first place in 43.79.
Placing second was the 4x400 team of Maverick Theis, Kian Morstad, Joseph Kleinschmidt and Joshua Lesperance. The 4x800 team of Lesperance, Teagan Harkey, Beckett Hendricks and Kobe Bistoff placed third. In sixth was the 4x200 team of Theis, Cambren Zeuske, Ryan Schwitzer and Joseph Kleinschmidt.
Senft, Rasmussen, Rubio and Zeuske were fourth in the 800-meter sprint medley relay. Lammers, Sosaeh Tepiew, Nolan Kleinschmidt and Josiah Kuehl were fourth in the 1,600-meter SMR.
Nolan Kleinschmidt, Bistoff, Aloysius Frechette and Kuehl placed fourth in the 4,000-meter distance medley relay.
The 4x100 throwers relay team was fourth.
Drew Chelberg was second in the discus, and Jospeh Doperalski was second in the shot put.
Micah Welander placed fourth in the high jump.
In the 110-meter hurdles, James Lange finished fourth, and Andre Peterson was sixth. Peterson was also sixth in the 300-meter hurdles.
The girls 4x400 and 4x800 teams won first place. In the 4x400, Maci Beyer, Tela Hopfensperger, Bailey Hendricks and Mikelah Powers finished with a time 4:18.72. The 4x800 team of Beyer, Hendricks, Powers and Hopfensperger finished in 10:28.77.
The 1,600-meter SMR group of Zoe Sipple, Beyer, Powers and Hendricks placed second. Sipple, Annabelle Schroeder, Emma Nielson and Jillian Guenther were fourth in the 4,000-meter DMR.
The 4x100 throwers relay team placed third.
Beyer finished fifth in the high jump, and Hopfensperger placed sixth in the pole vault.
In the mixed 4x400-meter relay, Gracie Curtin, Sipple, Cyprien Barbier and Kuehl finished sixth.
