Antigo 3, Shawano/Bonduel 1
Shawano/Bonduel fell 3-1 to their hosts at the Antigo holiday tournament.
The Hawks’ only goal came at 8:38 in the first period when Kielian Armbruster scored with help from Cameron Schroeder and Blake Swedberg.
Antigo tied the game at 3:10 in the second period on an Ethan Novy goal. The Red Robins took the lead at 13:01 when Alex Brittenham scored with an assist from Parker Chaney.
Chaney scored Antigo’s final goal at 16:25 in the third period.
Tyson Lyons made 10 saves for Shawano/Bonduel against 13 shots on goal. Antigo’s Austin Martinson had 41 saves against 42 shots on goal.
The Hawks were penalized twice for four minutes, and the Red Robins were called for five infractions for 13 minutes.
Friday, Dec. 26
Shawano/Bonduel 6, Green Bay United 2
Shawano/Bonduel opened tournament play in Antigo with a 6-2 win over Green Bay United.
Cameron Schroeder had a hat trick for the Hawks, with other goals scored by Max Huntington, Blake Swedberg and Quinten Harkey.
Schroeder first scored at 12:41 in the first period with an assist from Landon Vickery and then scored again just 13 seconds later with assist from Swedberg and Vickery.
Huntington put the Hawks up 3-0 at 4:59 in the second period with an unassisted goal, and Schroeder’s hat trick came at 5:29 with help from Swedberg and Wyatt Schroeder.
Green Bay United scored at 12:20 in the second period to make the score 4-1.
In the third period, Swedberg scored at 5:56 with Cameron Schroeder assisting, and Harkey scored at 11:50 with Teagan Harkey assisting.
Green Bay United scored at 12:33 to end the scoring.
The Hawks pounded out 41 shots on goal, forcing United goalie Jaden Shevy to make 35 saves. For the Hawks, Tyson Lyons had 12 saves against 13 shots on goal, and Kaiden Thornborrow had four saves against five shots on goal.
United was penalized three times for six minutes, and the Hawks were penalized five times for 10 minutes.
Antigo 10, Manitowoc United 4
The Red Robins opened up against Manitowoc United with four goals in the first period and never looked back as they won 10-4.
Alex Brittenham and Liam Burt each scored a hat trick for the Red Robins. Ethan Novy scored twice, and Billy Portman and Carson Rhode each had a goal.
Brittenham also had four assists, with Parker Chaney and Burt each collecting three. Rhode and Novy each had two assists, and Portman had one.
Antigo goalie Austin Martinson had 33 saves against 37 shots on goal. For Manitowoc United, Jackson Kadow had 22 saves against 28 shots on goal, and Fred Busse had seven saves against 11 shots on goal.
