Those two met five times, with Rodgers holding a 3-2 edge in that series.
Overall, Green Bay leads the series 18-10, with the most famous meeting likely coming in September 2011.
The Packers had just won the Super Bowl and won a 42-34 shootout against the Saints at Lambeau Field that was decided on a late goal line stand.
The Saints were the team that Jordan Love got his first start at home against last year. They looked like they were going to spoil the party, leading 17-0 in the fourth quarter before Love and the offense found its sea legs.
The Packers scored 18 unanswered points, and the Saints missed a field goal late, giving the Packers an 18-17 victory in their home opener.
COACHES: Packers – Matt LaFleur, fifth season, 66-31. Saints – Darren Rizzi, interim, 3-2.
