Lloyd David Johnson

Lloyd David Johnson, 68, of Gillett, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 30, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 22, 1956, in the town of Sagola, Michigan, to Donald and Ileen (Bozile) Johnson. Donald passed away when Lloyd was a young child. Later, Ileen moved back to Oconto County where she met and married Richard Koebach. Lloyd graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1976. On April 21, 1979, he married the love of his life, Linda Earley, in Oconto Falls at Grace Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two children, Roy and Catherine. Lloyd was a hard working man. He worked at Frigo Cheese in the warehouse and for a New Franken-based construction company. He found his calling at S&M Machine where he spent the next 37 years in maintenance. In his younger years, Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family camping and fishing. Later in life, his passion was classic cars and trucks. He loved working on them and admired the nostalgia. He also enjoyed stopping at the local tavern for Packers numbers and a cold one. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda; son, Roy (Jeni) Johnson; and daughter, Catherine (Fred) Toutloff. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the amazing teams at Unity Hospice and the eighth floor staff at Bellin Hospital. Lloyd’s wishes are no formal funeral services but rather a celebration of life, which will be held on Dec. 14, 2024, at the Blue Spruce in Lena from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
