Glenda J. (Davis) Hegewald, of Stevens Point, formerly of Menomonee Falls, passed away on April 29, 2023, at Willow Brook Pointe, at the age of 87.
Glenda was born March 28, 1936, and grew up in the Wittenberg area, graduating from Wittenberg High School. Following high school, she met Kenneth “Kenny” Hegewald and the two were married on May 4, 1957, in Iowa. Glenda dedicated over 30 years to Helwig Carbon Technology in the Milwaukee area, working as a manager/supervisor.
Glenda’s favorite pastime was fishing. She loved to go fishing with her husband, Kenny, but would also take her own little boat out and fish in quiet solitude. A favorite fishing spot was at their cottage in Wild Rose. When she couldn’t go fishing, Glenda enjoyed trips to the casino.
Glenda is survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny, three sisters and one brother.
For those wishing to express their sympathy, the family kindly suggests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be designated in Glenda’s honor to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank Willow Brook Pointe, ProMedica Hospice, and all the wonderful caregivers for the compassion and support provided to Glenda and her family.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Forest Cemetery in Birnamwood.
