HISTORY: The Packers and Panthers have met 18 times with the Panthers being an expansion franchise that first formed in 1995. The Packers lead the all-time series 12-6.
The last meeting between these two teams came on Christmas Eve in 2023, where Jordan Love led a game-winning drive to defeat Carolina 33-30. A last-gasp effort that day by Bryce Young fell just one second short at an attempt for a game-tying field goal.
The last meeting between the two teams at Lambeau Field came in front of minimal fans thanks to the COVID-19 season. The Packers won 24-16 that night on the strength of their defense and a strong game from Aaron Jones.
The most famous meeting between these two teams came in January 1997. The Packers hosted the NFC Championship Game for the first time against the Panthers as opposed to their typical 1990s rival, the Dallas Cowboys.
Green Bay throttled the Panthers that day thanks to a big day from Brett Favre and Dorsey Levens to send them to their first Super Bowl in 29 years.
COACHES: Packers, Matt LaFleur, seventh season, 72-34-1. Panthers, Dave Canales, second season, 9-16.
